Santa Claus - Inspiration For Our Children

At this time of the year with Christmas fast approaching have you ever sat down and wondered how our children perceive Santa Claus. I have, and the very first thing that came into my head was the views our children have on Santa are formed from a very young age. They view Santa Claus as having magical powers with the ability to perform amazing feats. Without really understanding, our children find Santa Claus as a great example of inspiration and determination. They are in awe of his ability to marshal his troop of elves and together make all the toys needed for all the children around the world.
They find it totally incredible that Santa Claus is able to fill his sleigh jam packed full of toys and then fly around the world delivering them to children on Christmas Eve. To all children, Santa Claus is truly dedicated to ensuring children and their parents wake up on Christmas morning to a sack full of beautiful presents and gifts.
Santa Clause Provides Inspiration For the Holiday Season
Ask your kids about Santa Claus and I am sure that they will confide that Santa Claus is a very special person who always pays attention to children, learning what they like and dislike. They will say that he monitors and affects the behavior of each child because he makes up a “naught and nice” list that determines who will be given presents and who may not. I’m sure you agree by just mentioning the existence of this list to our kids we are able to wield quite a fair bit of power, particularly during the festive season and the weeks leading up to it.
But for most children the most important thing about Santa Clause is the magic and glitter that this jolly old elf puts into their smiling eyes. From a kids perspective there is no greater expression of happiness and excitement than being in a line of children all waiting their turns to sit on Santa Claus lap and whisper their secret wishes into his ear.
Santa Clause Provides A Sure Example Of Determination To Every Child
Children understand Santa Claus’ dedication and dependability and accordingly consider him to be one of the most powerful influences in childhood. The magical aspect of Christmas and Santa Claus can help children forget the reality of difficult lives, of divorced or separated parents and unhappiness. Instead they see Santa Claus’ red and white suit as a sign of hope and love.
Santa Clause It A Great Behavior Modifier Within Homes Around The World
Unlike yesteryear when we had to send letters to Santa Claus these days our kids can just send Santa emails telling him what they want for Christmas. We parents can use the same way to let Santa Claus know that our children have been misbehaving and the threat of this happening can have an immediate behavior change from naughty children.
In many homes, a simple reminder that Santa Clause is watching can prompt instant compliance by most children as they fear that their Christmas stockings will be filled with the coal and sticks that are given to boys and girls whose names end up on the naughty list. Many boys and girls spend a lot of time being good instead of naughty during the festive season so they can have their name moved from Santa Claus’ naughty list over to the good list.
So if you have never asked your child what he or she thinks about Santa Claus why not go ahead and hear what they say.
